The Independent System and Market Operator (ISMO) is committed to lead the sustainable future of power sector in Pakistan. We work at the heart of the power system, performing three critical, complex and interconnected roles in the electricity sector; managing the power system in real-time, planning for the future energy needs, and operating an efficient and transparent electricity market. By doing this, we aim to ensure that electricity flows reliably across the country, that trading is fair and efficient, and that future needs are carefully planned with a national perspective. At the same time, we are building a new kind of corporate work culture in the public sector, valuing professionalism, collaboration and continuous improvement.
