The Role

The Incident Responder supervises and manages Security Operations Centre (SOC) operations during assigned shifts on a 24/7 basis and leads the response to cybersecurity incidents at the National Telecommunication and Information Security Board.


• Supervise and manage SOC operations during the assigned shift on a 24/7 basis • Lead, drive, facilitate and chair all investigation activities, meetings, and conference calls • Form collaborative action plans with specific actions, roles and deadlines, and ensure these are completed • Perform proactive threat hunting and advanced analysis to identify emerging and persistent threats • Lead and coordinate response to cybersecurity incidents in accordance with approved SOPs • Validate, prioritize, and escalate security alerts and incidents as per defined procedures • Conduct technical analysis, containment, and initial forensic handling of incidents • Coordinate with SOC analysts and technical teams for incident resolution and recovery • Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and shift handover of incidents and activities • Report significant incidents, threats, and operational issues to higher authorities in a timely manner • Leverage technology to issue all communications and provide key stakeholder management

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements
Required Education Level/ Field of Study
  • Bachelor 16 Years: Cyber Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Information Security
  • MS / MPhil: Cyber Security
  • PhD: Computer Science
Required Experience

• Minimum 8 years of experience of which 4 years in relevant field

Incident Response, Threat Hunting, Digital Forensics, SOC Operations, Linux, Cloud Computing, Problem Solving

Required Trainings

• PMP and relevant certifications (a plus)
