The Role

SIEM Engineer responsible for deploying, operating and maintaining SIEM platforms for the Security Operations Center at the National Telecommunication and Information Security Board (NTISB).


• Deploy, configure, operate and maintain SIEM platforms in accordance with approved standards and SOPs • Onboard and manage log sources, ensuring data integrity, normalization and availability • Develop, maintain and tune correlation rules, alerts, dashboards and reports • Monitor SIEM performance, conduct health checks and ensure system availability • Support SOC analysts and incident responders by providing technical analysis and custom queries • Ensure SIEM alignment with audit, compliance and reporting requirements • Document configurations, procedures and operational changes • Perform assigned duties on a 24/7 basis, as required, in accordance with approved directives

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements
Required Education Level/ Field of Study
  • Bachelor 16 Years: Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering
  • MS / MPhil: Cyber Security, Information Security
Required Experience

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience, including 4 years of recent experience in administration and management of enterprise SIEM platforms

Skills

SIEM Tools, Log Management, Correlation Rule Tuning
Preferred: Incident Handling, Offensive Security

Required Trainings

• International certification on incident handling and SOC operations, offensive security (preferred)
